HIGH LEVEL LEADERS Consultation on Stigma, Discrimination and Gender Inequality affecting Jamaica’s HIV/AIDS Response.This was held at the Wyndham Hotel on April 29, 2011.
Jamaica’s major HIV/AIDS Funding Agencies were warmly received by the National HIV/STI Programme (NHP) at an Introductory Breakfast Meeting to welcome representatives from the Global Fund to fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria, the MAC AIDS Fund and the Clinton Foundation at the Hilton Kingston Hotel on Wednesday, February 11, 2009. Representatives from the World Bank and UNAIDS were also there to meet and greet their funding counterparts. Here are the highlights.
World AIDS Day was proclaimed on Monday, November 24, 2008 at Kings House. A total of 5 persons were in attendance: Dr. Harvey, Misses Maluwa, Hamer, Byfield and Reid. The Governor General, The Most Hon. Professor Kenneth O. Hall, ON, OJ was unable to attend but the Reverend Canon, The Hon. Weeville Gordon, OJ, CD, deputized well on his behalf.
